INsite/NZACA Caregiver Christmas Celebration

In a new twist to the traditional INsite/NZACA celebration of the Christmas period, caregivers will now be the focus.

“Over the years, we have had a lot of fun with the INsite/NZACA Chrissie Celebration,” said New Zealand Aged Care Association CEO Martin Taylor. “Facilities say they have learned a lot from what the other facilities do, which is great. But NZACA and INsite both wanted to do something a bit different for 2011.”

Bronwen Wilkins, general manager of INsite’s publisher, APN Educational Media, said caregivers are the heart and soul of operations.

“In so many ways, caregivers are the heroes,” Wilkins said. “So this year we want facilities to nominate a caregiver or two for our 2011 INsite/NZACA Christmas Caregiver Celebration.”

Please send in a high-res photo of a caregiver (two caregivers per facility maximum) plus 120 words or less about what makes that caregiver a cracker! Perhaps they go the extra mile for their colleagues or residents, perhaps they have put in an amazing amount to effort to upskill and train. Or perhaps they are just a pleasure to work with.

“Whatever it is, we want to celebrate Christmas by helping to celebrate our caregivers,” said Taylor.
